Maguire only played in six games across all competitions, so in February 2015, he was sent on a one-month loan to Wigan Athletic. He played the same number of games for Wigan in a month as he did for Hull, and his loan was extended until the end of the season.
When Maguire left, Hull was sent down to the Championship. But when he came back, Hull was back in the top league for the 2015/16 season, and Maguire played in 33 games that year.
